The brief

HERE Technologies needed blogs to showcase its products, drive SEO, create brand awareness and credibility, and position its senior team as thought leaders. They had to be based on original research, engaging and relevant to a specialist audience while written in plain language and to the highest of journalistic standards.


The result

I wrote hundreds of blogs between July 2020 and January 2024 for here.com publishing several times a week. I took a journalistic approach, including graphs, infographics, maps and videos to bring the story to life and create shareable content for social. I wrote headlines with one eye on SEO but which were always intriguing, thought-provoking and with a focus on the news agenda in the tech, automotive and supply chain industries. One of these blogs was the most read ever on the site.

They included an interview with researchers creating a new kind of lithium air battery for EVs, interviews with key figures from Panama’s government on how the country was repositioning itself in the face of supply chain disruption, and the story of how one of HERE’s pioneering engineers became the subject of a Netflix documentary.

I used AB testing to perfect my approach towards headlines for these blogs and created short explainer videos to run on social reels to promote the content.
